Goals

For Children

Based on our understanding of young children and their development, broad goals are set for each age group and then individual goals are set for each child. But, in general, we all strive to:

  • Encourage positive social interactions: communicating, cooperating, empathy, sharing, manners and respecting each other.
  • Enhance children’s self-esteem, self-sufficiency, and feelings of self-worth.
  • Provide a language-rich environment in both English and French. We expose children to the spoken word in both languages and in turn, encourage their storytelling.
  • Celebrate diversity and intrinsically teach respect for the world around us.
  • Foster creativity in art, language, and thinking.
  • Introduce a wide variety of activities to exercise both the large and small muscles of the body.
  • Prepare children for success in Kindergarten and beyond.

For Parents ( A program, which provides )

  • High-quality child care that supports their family’s needs
  • Support of their relationship with their child
  • Opportunities to increase understanding of child development
  • Encouragement to trust their ability to resolve parenting issues
  • Mutual support from and for other parents

Philosophy

(Pedagogy)

( PLAY BASED LEARNING)

As fellow parents, we understand that your highest hopes and aspirations are reserved for your children. With that in mind, we support early childhood learning philosophies that stress the importance of play, hands-on-learning, and whole child development. Like many programs, we promote cognitive, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and social development.

Children learn through active participation including play activities, a center-based curriculum, and enrichment activities.

Our curriculum is integrated from one age group to the next so that your child continues to develop and grow through developmentally appropriate activities from year to year.
